“ Aquarius is the best Chinese food. Better than NYC Chinatown. Their fried flounder is to die for. My son loves the food at Aquarius. Every time he comes from Barcelona he has to eat at Aquarius. And then he braggs about the food. ”
“ Another fantastic quick hit for dim sum today. I have never been disappointed by them or their predecessor, Silver Pond. Great food, great service and still very reasonable prices in this crazy priced world. I'll be back again and again. ”
“ Returned to Aquarius almost after a year. Luckily wasn't a long line on Saturday morning. They have made the waitlist online now, so don't need to wait at the door anymore. The inside of the restaurant is still the same, lots of tables cramped in a small space. I found the dim sum items to be much better quality. The dumplings, shau mai, rice cake, mango jelly, egg tar, beef tendon all were really tasty. Carts were going around more often. But the dishes we got from the kitchen wasn't too impressive. I didn't like the rice and noodles much. The service was better this time. We got the server's attention few times when we needed some assistance. For payment, they do it at the table now, no need to go to the counter. Overall I liked having dim sum lunch here after a long time. ”
“ When I need a dim sum fix, I go here. Why? The food is yummy - and more importantly, I can enjoy dim sum any day (not just the weekends). I've been here a lot, and it never disappoints. My go-tos have always been consistently good: - shrimp dumplings (har gow) - pork dumplings (shu mai) - shrimp rice rolls - sticky rice - roast pork buns - turnip cake with pork There are other items I like a lot: - spare rib tips with black bean - pan fried shrimp & pork dumpling with leeks - rice roll with dough (this can be hit or miss, depending on how fresh the dough stick is) And my absolute favorites are: - deep fried pork & shrimp dumpling (they aren't real dumplings - they have a mochi like consistency & chew with a savory meat filling) - Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce I've been missing their sesame ball that they used to have with a black sesame paste filling. I haven't seen it in a long while (sad face). If you can, try to wait for a seat by the window. ”
“ A really fresh authentic dimsum cart restaurant that is a local favorite. Even prior to their opening hour (11 am) on Saturdays people start lining out the doors with their friends and families to kick off their weekends. The moment you sit down, the ladies start pushing around the various carrs and they have everything from the classic rice roll, baked buns, congee, and all the other dimsum goodies you can expect in a larger facility. The dimsum especially in the morning tastes super fresh, all of the dumplings and rolls are stuffed with lots of meats and vegetables and the service is super attentive. Some of my favorite dishes include, black bean spare ribs, preserved egg congee, shrimp hargow, pork shumai, and of course the glistening char sui bao buns. Ambiance is casual and great for large groups of people. I would say, like most dimsum spots this isn't a place to sit idly and catch up with friends but rather eat a piping hot meal quickly and head out. There is a pretty fast turn around time for all the tables given there is often a wait. A good spot in Northern NJ if you are not willing to head into the city or more central Jersey. - street parking - come before they open - cash or card ”
